Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – These individuals assist the priests & deacons at two of our Sunday Masses offer the Eucharist to the faithful. For more information please contact: Msgr. Bliss at 309-274-3809 or [email protected]

Pastoral Care – These parishioners are Commissioned to make a pastoral visit to those who are residents in the local nursing home, retirement centers or the homebound. Bible Study – Looking to deepen your understanding the Sacred Scripture, please join our Bible Study which meets every Wednesday evening in the parish hall from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a repeat session on Thursday morning’s from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the parish hall. Grief Support – These are volunteers to assist families who have suffered the death of a loved one. The group’s primary ministry is to provide a luncheon in the parish hall if the family desires one. This includes the preparation of side dishes and desserts which will compliment the main entrée which is usually catered. In addition the grief support group organizes a special Memorial Mass offered during the month of November. Grounds keeping & Garden Committee – These volunteers take care of the parish grounds including; cutting the grass, trimming hedges and maintaining the various flower beds. Knights of Columbus – is a fraternal order of catholic men dedicated to the support of the Church & Her Mission to bring salvation to all through the spreading of the Gospel. In addition, the local council helps to provide support to the parish and school through year round activities. The Knights meet every third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall. St. Edward’s Prayer Group – meets every Tuesday evening in the church from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The group offers a variety of praise and worship including using the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and a monthly Healing Mass among other devotionals. Mary and Monica Helpers – is a group primarily dedicated to prayer for the needs of the parish and the world. Included is special attention for those who have lapsed or fallen away from the practice of their Catholic Faith. The group also engages in monthly events intended for the spiritual enrichment of its participants, including; pilgrimages to local shrines, presentations by guest speakers and various devotionals. Monday Morning Men – is a group of men who help with basic maintenance of the parish campus including; changing light bulbs, smoke detector installations, electrical work, painting among many other things. If you’re retired or have extra time on your hands and looking to keep busy while enjoying some good fellowship, please contact: Bob Adams at 309-274-3301 or [email protected]

St. Padre Pio Prayer Group – gathers on the third Saturday of the month in the church beginning with Mass at 9:00 a.m. followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, an extended Holy Hour, a meditation taken from the writings of Padre Pio and concluding with Benediction. Sweet Treats – is a group that monthly bakes goodies which are sold after Mass on a given weekend. All proceeds go to help raise money for maintenance expenses for our buildings.
