Lenten Small Group Sessions
Lent is indeed a time for all of us to go deeper with the Lord. Among the different practices that aid us in enriching ourselves during the next forty days, a special program will be offered. For the next six weeks, we invite you to spend time reflecting on people from the Bible who have encountered God. This reflection time is designed to help you see the ways you are encountering Jesus, and the God Jesus revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Each session will last about an hour and twenty minutes and will include prayer, Scripture reading, a brief DVD presentation, personal reflection, and small group discussions. The schedule includes the following:
Week 1: Jesus Son of Mary, reflection on the Annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to Mary.
Week 2: Jesus the Healer, reflection on the healing of the woman with the hemorrhage.
Week 3: Jesus the merciful, reflection on the story of the healing of the paralytic.
Week 4: Jesus the giver of grace, reflection on Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman at the well.
Week 5: Jesus Son of the Father, reflection on Jesus and Philip’s discussion of God the Father.
Week 6: Jesus the Savior, reflection on the Centurion at the Crucifixion scene professing Jesus as the Son as God.
The Program is offered at three venues of your choice:
